Overview
Humanitarian and compassionate applications are for people in Canada who do not qualify under a regular immigration program but have exceptional circumstances. Officers weigh factors such as how established you are in Canada, your ties to the community, the best interests of any children affected and the hardship you would face if you had to leave.
Who it's for
- People who have built their lives in Canada without a clear route to status
- Families where a child's best interests are at stake
- Applicants facing serious hardship in their home country
How we help
- H&C is discretionary and every file is unique. We start with a frank assessment of your chances.
- We help you build a written submission with supporting evidence such as employment, community involvement, school records and country conditions.
Program rules, fees and processing times are set by the Government of Canada and change often. Check the official IRCC information page, or ask us for advice on your situation.
