Study & Visit

Visitor Visa & eTA

Visit family, travel or attend events in Canada.

Overview

Citizens of visa-required countries, including India, need a temporary resident visa (visitor visa) to come to Canada. Travellers from visa-exempt countries flying in usually need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Visitors can normally stay up to six months, and extensions are possible from inside Canada.

Who it's for

  • Families visiting relatives in Canada
  • Tourists and people attending weddings, graduations or events
  • Visitors who need to extend their stay

How we help

  • We show the officer why you will return home by documenting your job, property, family and travel history.
  • We help previously refused applicants address the refusal reasons instead of simply reapplying.

Program rules, fees and processing times are set by the Government of Canada and change often. Check the official IRCC information page, or ask us for advice on your situation.
