PR Card Renewal & Travel Documents

Renew your PR card or return to Canada with a PRTD.

Overview

Permanent residents must live in Canada for at least 730 days in every five-year period to keep their status. We help with PR card renewals, and with Permanent Resident Travel Documents (PRTD) for people abroad whose card has expired, including cases where the residency obligation is in question.

Who it's for

  • Permanent residents with an expiring PR card
  • Permanent residents outside Canada without a valid PR card
  • People who spent long periods abroad and are unsure of their status

How we help

  • We calculate your residency days and flag risks before you apply or travel.
  • Where the 730-day rule is not met, we prepare humanitarian arguments to help you keep your status.

Program rules, fees and processing times are set by the Government of Canada and change often. Check the official IRCC information page, or ask us for advice on your situation.
